February of 2010 has been a challenge for those of us in the northeast. The Snow Joe Plus isn't a miracle machine, but if you take your time, and control it so you don't take more than a 4" deep bite at a time, it can move some serious snow. The only downside is it only throws it straight ahead, so be careful if you're working towards your house, or any windows. Your arms and shoulders will also have to get used to bearing its weight, which is considerably less than a shovel full of wet snow.
All in all, its fun to operate, helps to save your back, and performs exactly as advertised.

I loved the snow blower but on about the third use the plastic blade unit broke. I had hit it against a railing so I understood that I had a role in this. I ordered two extra roller units from Snow Joe. They have not shipped after a week. I wrote several emails that only received automated responses. When I called, I was told it should ship later this week (two weeks to ship basic parts.) I asked why and the man said "We are very backed up." This is a neat product but the customer service is very poor.

After spending 45 minutes and an aching back shoveling the snow from my driveway, I immediately went inside and purchased the Snow Joe. It was the cheapest snow blower I could find and it seemed to get good reviews.
After trying the product 3 times now, I can honestly say that it works just like the YouTube video you see on the Amazon product page. I even had 6+ inches of snow when I used it, and it worked terrific. It absolutely shoots snow 5-10 feet in the air. It now takes me about 10 minutes to do the driveway, with virtually no effort on my part.
If there is only one complaint I have (and it's minor), it's that I wish it was bigger than 12-inches wide. Obviously, with a 19 or 24 inch snow blower, I wouldn't have to make so many passes across the driveway to get it finished. But, my driveway is small so it's not too big of a deal.
Overall, if you are looking for an affordable snow blower that works well and gets the job done, go with the Snow Joe!

THIS MORNING I USED MY SNOW JOE PLUS FOR THE THIRD TIME AND IT BROKE. HIT A SMALL ROCK AND IT BROKE OFF A PIECE OF BLADE. IT WORKED FOR ABOUT A MINUTE THEN STOPPED ALL TOGETHER. YOU MAY WANT TO USE RUBBER INSTEAD OF PLASTIC! I DON'T THINK I'LL BE PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT AGAIN, PERHAPS OTHER PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY.

I've waited for the big snow so I can test this small wonder. Snow Joe did a good job in my driveway I can't believe the power of this machine. The blizzard in New York is still pounding and can't wait till I shove all of them when the storm finish. I highly recommend this item.
